Better Late Than Never
So these pictures are a little behind, but we couldn't leave such a great party without pictures. The Adventure zone (young elementary) had a fall harvest party at the Shaull's in October. We were blessed with great weather. It seemed like everyone young and old had a nice time! We had a pumpkin decorating contest (for those who had learned their memory verse for the month), square dancing, games vs. our parents, hot dogs cooked over a campfire and of course a hay ride.

Story Time Quilt
Rescue Children was founded in 2003 by Mrs. Lynda Morrison of Spartanburg, South Carolina. There are 15 orphans in residence at the facility outside Port-au-Prince at the present time. The mission of the orphanage is to provide destitute children with food, safe drinking water, shelter, and clothing as well as education and vocational skills. Sharing Jesus’ love for them is the foundation of the ministry. Mrs. Morrison plans to use the quilt as a place for orphans to sit for their nightly Bible story time.

Wild, Wild, West!!!
24 preteens from CrossWalk went to Carters' Cabin Friday night for their "Wild, Wild West" party. Games were a blast. (Ask Pastor Dave how a bathroom plunger felt on his head!) It was so welcoming to take the 10-minute hay wagon ride to the shale pit and have our cookout all prepared: lanterns were lit, bonfire was blazing all thanks to Jeff and Chris. We consumed 60 hotdogs, three bags of marshmallows, and a couple bags of chips. (Don't tell the parents about the junk food!) Then we ended with the traditional stop at the Trading Post and adults vs. kids tug of war. Ask any preteen who won...and why it wasn't fair!!! We thank the Lord for the opportunity to enjoy His creation, the help of many adults, and the safety of the evening."
